Terms of Service

Effective: June 2, 2025

1. Acceptance

By using The Name Wall ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What You Can Post

You may submit a name, phrase, or short message ("Content") up to 40 characters. You are solely responsible for your Content and any consequences of posting it.

3. Prohibited Content

You may not post Content that:

Contains hate speech, slurs, or language targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
Harasses, threatens, or intimidates any person
Is obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit
Impersonates another person or organization in a misleading way
Contains personal information of others (names, addresses, phone numbers) without their consent
Advertises illegal goods or services
Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law

4. Content Visibility

All Content you post is publicly visible to anyone visiting the Service. Do not post anything you want to keep private.

5. Removal of Content

We reserve the right to remove any Content at any time, for any reason, without notice. Content reported by multiple users may be automatically hidden pending review. Automated filters may block certain words or phrases.

6. One Submission Per Day

Free submissions are limited to one per IP address per 24-hour period. This limit exists to keep the wall fair and prevent abuse.

7. Payments

The $1 upgrade fee grants your name extended visibility for 7 days and enhanced styling. This fee is non-refundable as it is a digital service consumed immediately upon activation. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card information.

8. No Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, data retention, or uninterrupted service. Names may be lost due to technical issues.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
